Mission

We are a Guatemalan group with an international outlook that adds value for its partners, employees, customers and communities of influence through energy, agroforestry and real estate ventures, based on profitable investments and responsible, sustainable operations.

Vision

By 2030, guided by our values and with a strong commitment to sustainability, we will enter new markets and businesses that positively transform their surroundings, becoming a world-class corporate investment model.

Our
values

At Grupo Secacao, our values guide every decision and every action. Our code of ethics reflects our commitment to act with responsibility, integrity, excellence and respect in everything we do, strengthening the trust of our employees, customers, suppliers and communities.

01

Responsibility

We take on and accept the consequences of our actions and the moral obligation to strive to achieve our business goals in harmony with the environment and society.

Code of Ethics and Conduct

GRUPO SECACAO is committed to conducting its activities properly and in accordance with the highest ethical and legal standards. Who we are is not defined by what we do or by our name; it is defined by how we act, the values we represent, and the way we relate to our stakeholders, society and the environment in which we live.

Our main challenge is to define a management model that allows us to carry out our activities as a good social and environmental citizen, with high standards of excellence. In this way, we have become a leader and a positive benchmark in the national energy industry, a leadership we wish to maintain and strengthen.

Our operations are located mainly in rural areas, in a context of clear underdevelopment, with significant poverty rates that reflect inadequate levels of human development and major deficits in education, health and infrastructure. The national and rural reality also reflects high levels of environmental degradation in general, including serious problems of deforestation, river pollution and erosion.

The other side of our reality is that we participate in an industry with very high levels of competitiveness and complexity worldwide, which requires applying the best and most advanced engineering and business management practices in order to survive and, more than that, to excel in an increasingly complex sector.

GRUPO SECACAO has developed a strategic management plan, the Sustainability and Corporate Social Responsibility Strategy, in order to establish principles, criteria and policies that ensure our business model and our impact on society and the environment are sustainable, minimize negative impacts and, instead, generate positive effects over time.

At the heart of this strategy is our Code of Ethics, through which we concretely express our values and principles and establish our commitment and the way we do things.

We trust that with the guidance provided by this Code, sound judgment, spirit, effort and enthusiasm, GRUPO SECACAO and every member of our great team will continue to contribute to a successful track record while promoting and enjoying an excellent reputation.
